⚠️ Safety tips

🌡️ Heat – Drink water every 20–30 minutes, even without feeling thirsty. Avoid sugary, alcoholic or highly caffeinated drinks. Stay in a cool or shaded place, especially from 12 pm to 6 pm, the hottest period. Wear light-colored, lightweight clothing and a wide-brimmed hat. If you have a headache, dizziness, nausea or confusion, cool the body immediately (spray bottle, wet towels) and call emergency services.
⚡ Thunderstorms – Bring inside or secure any objects that could blow away (furniture, tools, outdoor decorations). Stay away from isolated trees, pylons, waterways and open areas. Shelter in a sturdy building or a closed vehicle. Avoid using landline phones and plugged-in electrical devices.
🔥 Fire – Never throw cigarette butts on the ground or out of a vehicle window. Avoid any spark (metal work, barbecue, campfire). Immediately report any smoke or fire start to emergency services, specifying the exact location. If the fire is close, move away in the opposite direction of the wind, toward an already-burned or cleared area.
🌊 Rip currents & tides – Check tide times and coefficients before swimming. If caught in a strong current (rip), never try to swim straight back to the beach: swim parallel to the shore to exit the current, then return diagonally to the beach. Watch children constantly, even at the water’s edge, and avoid swimming if the sea is rough or outside supervised areas.
